Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and musician, who is most often in Tamil and Malayalam film productions in the language. Her acting debut came in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was an attorney at the Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister is a Belgian research assistant who works in Leuven. Jeremiah has a family near Chennai she attended National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea began studying classical piano when she was eight. She was a massive geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. She performed in The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars when she was 10. This ensemble shaped her musical and singing career. In her college days, she also was a theater artist and performed in various stage productions arranged through The Madras Players. Andrea was also The Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's theatre career began in the role of Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a new leo advertisement alongside actor Shiva. Also, she was in a series that was broadcast on Podhigai. She's performed roles in India. She played a brief role in the final scene in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). After she rendered a song in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu the director asked her to join as one of the lead female characters in his upcoming project Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea playing Kalyani a homemaker whose husband gets involved in an affair, and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea got the role following actresses Simran Shubana, and Tabu were offered the role. The film came out during the first half of 2010. It was announced in the year 2011 that she would be a part-time acting role as a support in Venkatprabhu's film Mankatha and it was premiered in August of 2011. Her Malayalam film debut by playing the Annayum film of Rajeeev Ratti by Rasoolum in the year 2013.
