Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, studied clarinets, cellos, and pianos at the Hochstein School of Music. The Boston Conservatory offered her an award for the school's theatre. Cum Laude awarded Sharp a B.F.A. Sharp began her career performing on stage following her graduation from the Conservatory. Sharp appeared in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and made her debut Off Broadway as Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. In the interactive comedy Eat the Runt, she was a variety of characters. Sharp has also performed in Abyssinia as well as Aida in addition to Thunder Knockin Jitney as well as The Producers. She was even a reader for August Wilson's Come and Gone. Sharp is also working on other projects that she is working on, in addition to the projects for stage and screen. She continues to sing, and has a full-length album in production. Sharp is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys boxing as well as study Krav Maga. When not being in front or behind of the camera or making music in a studio her hobbies include long journeys, playing piano, and taking hikes.
